Horror.Art is this Friday and despite the bad luck inherent in planning a party for Friday the 13th, Weather.com promises only a 20% chance of rain. Considering the thunderstorm maelstrom of the last two art parties, I wouldn't count on it being a clear one, but if luck is with us then we will be having music both indoors and out...maybe a bonfire too?

In any event, here's the estimated schedule of musical acts:
700pm - Acoustic musicians to start playing in the Crowbar

800pm - EVOL - Ashley, Sam and Nash cover PJ Harvey raw and loud. Meanwhile, someone (you?) will be playing the Crowbar.

900pm - The Junior Mystics (er, Julian Vu and his keyboard) on the loud stage, and the possibility of one Jason B in the Crowbar.

1000pm - The No-Name Millions outside, and Envy.Art returnee Charlie Sullivan in the Crowbar.

1100pm - That Yellow Bastard outside, Miss Semalea Jenson inside.

1200am - The Squirms!!

130am - The Cottage Industry!!

For those of you bringing art, bring it early (before 3pm), preferably with a means to present (easel, pins, hanging equipment, table, whatever) and, if desired, a bit of paper with your name, the name of the piece, price (if for sale or auction), and whatever else you may want to include - website, email, phone number, photo, whathaveyou.

See you Friday, my lovely uglies.

Jeez I can't believe how bad I am at updating this thing. Forgive me and beware! Horror.Art is in OCTOBER on Friday the 13th... Lots of bands have already signed up (the Squirms and Cottage Industry just to name two)so start thinking about what you're going to make that is creepy, evil, or just fucking awful. Let us know in advance if you can but don't be afraid to show up the day of with a piece. That's what most people do. Anything (anything!) is acceptable as a submission but we would love to get film, sculpture, performance, poetry...outside the frame, so to speak.

Horror.Art
Friday, Oct 13
1208 W. 7th
3pm - 3am
FREE MUSIC
ART GALLERY

bring.us.your.art@gmail.com
myspace: HattiesburgArt

Is it February already?

So now most of you who didn't know what this envy/art thing is all about probably came across our little article in the Burger. Are we hipsters, really? We hope you will come to our free art show with your creations regardless. The theme is ENVY.

And it's THIS Saturday. The 25th. What we've got so far...an attic installation, paintings, performance, sculpture and a lot of promises for more. Ideally, you'll be bringing your beauties (or uglies) by the Friday before, the 24th, so that we can find a spot for you, but if you can't make it til Saturday, please drop by before 3 pm. If you intend to perform, show up and sign up for a good time. First come, first serve, unless we decide otherwise.

Any questions? 1208 W. 7th Street.
